Jim Ruder is the Chief Operating Officer at LeadThem Consulting, where he has led the firm's migration and identity-security consulting practice since 2015. He has personally overseen or delivered more than 250 enterprise migration projects, including Active Directory consolidations, Exchange and Microsoft 365 migrations, and tenant-to-tenant moves using Quest's On Demand Migration suite.

Background

Before joining LeadThem Consulting, Jim led the global infrastructure team at Eaton Corporation. There he was responsible for Active Directory architecture, endpoint security, and M&A integration across 25,000+ endpoints in nearly 300 locations worldwide. Under his leadership the team consolidated more than 350 domain controllers down to fewer than 60, reduced the patching lifecycle from 60 days to 48 hours, and saved over $3 million in labor and travel on a single integration project using Quest's Migration Manager.

That hands-on experience with Quest's tools is what brought Jim to LeadThem Consulting. As COO he is responsible for operations and delivery of the firm's migration and identity-security consulting practice, and he continues to act as the senior technical sponsor on the firm's most complex engagements.
