Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) Training

Quest On Demand Migration is the platform LeadThem Consulting uses to run Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant moves and Active Directory consolidations for clients across the United States. ODM is also the migration component of Quest Secure Migration within the Quest Security Management Platform. If your team is going to operate ODM after a project, or if you are standing up an internal migration practice, this is the training that turns the product documentation into operational fluency.

Two courses are offered. Both are available as live instructor-led training (ILT) or as self-paced student-led training (SLT) through the virtual training center.

ODM Tenant to Tenant (ODM-T3)

Two-day hands-on course covering a full Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration scenario. The right starting point for administrators who own a merger, acquisition, or divestiture project.

• Duration: 2 days instructor-led, or self-paced equivalent
• Audience: Active Directory administrators, Exchange administrators, and Microsoft 365 administrators
• You will learn to: stand up a Microsoft 365 tenant for migration, configure ODM Tenant to Tenant, and migrate Public Folders, mail, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams between tenants
• Prerequisites: working knowledge of migrations
• Tuition: $2,650 per student

ODM for Active Directory and DirSync

Two-day course focused on the identity layer of an ODM engagement: directory synchronization, user and group provisioning, and computer migrations between domains. The companion course to ODM-T3 for projects that include an on-premises AD piece.

• Duration: 2 days instructor-led, or self-paced equivalent
• Audience: Active Directory administrators, Exchange administrators, Microsoft 365 administrators, and enterprise desktop administrators
• You will learn to: configure DirSync, sync users and groups, migrate computers between domains, move workstations to a new domain, and update NAS shares for the new identity
• Tuition: $2,650 per student

Coming from Migration Manager?

If your team is currently running Quest Migration Manager (MMAD or MMEX), ODM is the modern successor. Migration Manager for Exchange v8.14 is the final supported release, and the skills that mattered for MM map directly onto ODM and Quest Migrator Pro for Active Directory. The two ODM courses above are the upgrade path. Operators who knew Migration Manager well typically move through ODM-T3 in a single sitting.
