Quest Migrator for Notes to Exchange (MNE) Training

Quest Migrator for Notes to Exchange (MNE) moves HCL Notes (formerly Lotus Notes) and Domino mail, calendars, contacts, and personal archives into Microsoft 365. MNE is the Notes-to-Exchange component of Quest Secure Migration within the Quest Security Management Platform. For phased migrations that cannot cut every user over in a single window, pair MNE with Coexistence Manager for Notes (CMN) to keep mail flowing between Notes and Exchange while users are migrated in batches.

Two courses are offered for HCL Notes migration training and Domino to Microsoft 365 training. Both are available as live instructor-led training (ILT) or as self-paced student-led training (SLT) through the virtual training center.

Migrator for Notes to Exchange (MNE)

Two-day hands-on course covering the full MNE workflow, from installation through batch migration and end-user self service. The right course for teams running a single-window cutover, or for projects that already have coexistence handled and only need the migration mechanics.

Migrator for Notes to Exchange and Coexistence Manager for

Notes (MNE + CMN)

Three-day course covering migration and coexistence configuration between HCL Notes and Domino and Microsoft Exchange. The right course for phased migrations where Notes and Exchange must run side by side while users move in batches. CMN is the layer that keeps mail flowing during that window.

• Audience: HCL Notes and Domino administrators, Exchange administrators, and Microsoft 365 administrators on a phased migration with a long coexistence window
• You will learn to: install and configure MNE and CMN, configure coexistence between Notes and Exchange, discover Notes information, merge contacts, use the PAB Replicator, prepare and migrate batch users, provision groups, and set up Self Service
• Hands-on: lab time in the virtual training center against a working coexistence environment
• Tuition: $4,050 per student

Which course is right for your project?

If users will be cut over in a single window, or if your environment is small enough that a short coexistence period can be handled with simple SMTP forwarding, the two-day MNE class covers what your operators need. If the migration will run over weeks or months and Notes and Exchange users have to schedule meetings with each other in the meantime, the three-day MNE + CMN class is the one to take. Coexistence is where most Notes migrations get into trouble. Learning the tool before you need it is cheaper than learning it under pressure.
